TEDxDUTH is the independently organized TEDx event at Democritus University of Thrace, in northern Greece. Since 2018 we've staged seven editions across Komotini, Xanthi and Alexandroupolis.

No prior experience required; just curiosity and follow-through. Applications run for limited time once we open them.

What TEDxDUTH is.
One day, a stage, and a curated set of talks, performances and discussions on ideas worth spreading. Organized under license from TED by a student-led team at Democritus University of Thrace, open to students, professionals and the wider community across Eastern Macedonia & Thrace.

What is TEDxDUTH, in one line?
An independently organized TEDx event held annually at Democritus University of Thrace, in northern Greece, since 2018.
Where and when is the 2026 edition?
Date and venue are not announced yet. Recent editions have taken place between October and December in Komotini or Xanthi. Subscribe to the newsletter for the announcement.
How can I attend? Are there tickets?
Yes. Tickets typically go on sale a few weeks before the event and sell out quickly. The newsletter and our Instagram are the fastest channels.
What language are the talks in?
Most talks are in Greek; some are in English. The YouTube uploads include subtitles where available.
Is TEDxDUTH part of TED?
No. TEDxDUTH is independently organized under license from TED and follows the TEDx guidelines.
